Applied research projects are a core component of the Master in Marketing Management (MiMM) program at the University of St. Gallen. These projects span three semesters and provide students with the opportunity to address real-world challenges in collaboration with industry partners. By bridging academic theory and practical application, students gain hands-on experience while delivering valuable insights to their project partners.
In one of my applied research projects, conducted in partnership with TEAM Marketing for UEFA, students explored the potential of Web 3.0 technologies to transform fan engagement, sponsorship models, and digital ecosystems within the sports industry. Their research focused on innovative applications of blockchain, NFTs, and decentralized platforms to create enhanced value for stakeholders in this evolving field.
As the Project Supervisor, I guided the students throughout the research process, ensuring alignment with academic standards and the specific needs of TEAM Marketing and UEFA. My role included mentoring the team, facilitating collaboration between academic and industry stakeholders, and providing strategic oversight to maintain the project's focus and quality. Additionally, I ensured the timely delivery of impactful insights and high-quality results.
