The Zürich Marathon is one of Switzerland's premier running events, attracting thousands of participants from around the world. The race features a scenic route through the city of Zurich, along Lake Zurich, and back to the city center, offering participants a unique combination of urban and natural landscapes. It includes several race categories, such as the full marathon, team relays, and shorter distances, making it accessible to runners of all skill levels.
As an organizer, I contributed to the planning and execution of the event, focusing on logistics, participant coordination, and ensuring a seamless experience for runners and spectators. Tasks included coordinating race schedules, managing volunteers, and ensuring safety and support along the route.
As a runner, I participated in the marathon, gaining first-hand insight into the event's dynamics and connecting with the running community. This dual role allowed me to merge organizational expertise with a personal passion for running, contributing to the success of the event while experiencing it from the participants' perspective.
